Thanks for the invitation. I looked at your blog and am impressed with its high quality, so I'm sure your Google+ account is similar.

You are welcome to check again later, but I haven't decided yet what to do with my blog except post new material when I see something interesting. After my company launches a product, I will need to decide on my strategy for the blog, and a link like you offer may fit very well then.

Thanks for your interest.

To start receiving help with "green" car insurance, you can sign up by simply e-mailing a small amount of information to us. This step is free, as will be all of the information and many of the services we think are good fits for you as more money-saving "green" policies become available. The address to use is info@telanon.com .

To sign up, here's what we need:
1) the state where your vehicles are registered and insured (required); and
2) the year, brand, and model of each of your vehicles (optional, but very helpful).

Insurance is regulated by the states, so insurers introduce policies at different times for different states. Even when similar-sounding policies are available in several states, their terms and pricing may be quite different. That's why we need to know which state to watch for your vehicles.

The reason for requesting year, brand, and model information (like 2003 Toyota Camry) is because "green" usage-based insurance requires getting data directly from cars.

For Verified-Mileage policies, only the miles driven must be proven. For other policies like Progressive's Pay As You Drive® product MyRate®, the times and how the cars are driven must also be proven.

A number of approaches are available, but some don't work for some cars. So by knowing the types of vehicles you insure, we can limit the alternatives we suggest that help with "green" insurance to only those compatible with your cars.

Very few "green" car insurance policies have been introduced so far, but many introductions are expected soon. If you sign up, we will contact you as we see policies introduced in your state. We'll provide information and suggest services that we believe will help you evaluate your "green" car insurance alternatives. In many cases we will also offer convenient alternatives for proving actual miles driven for Verified-Mileage policies.

We welcome comments and questions.
